Fir Lodges are situated in peaceful surroundings on the edge of Blackmuir Woods in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. It is only 20 miles north east of Inverness, near Strathpeffer and 5 miles east of Dingwall. A Fir Lodge is the perfect place to experience a Scottish holiday in unspoilt countryside, yet close enough to benefit from organised tourist activities nearby. Open all year round, the lodges are an ideal place to take a relaxing Scottish holiday or as a base for adventure and touring in all directions.
Throughout the summer Fir Lodges are available to rent on a weekly basis. We also offer, short breaks, long weekends during off peak season in the autumn, winter and spring months. All holidays give the chance to enjoy our comprehensive facilities in a beautiful location.
There are 2 log cabins on site, all positioned carefully to maximise the woodland setting and the need for privacy. Fir Lodges are well equipped and immaculately kept.
The fully centrally heated luxury cabins are constructed of solid logs to a very high standard. They have been completely renovated and modernised to provide spacious, warm accommodation for a holiday or short break anytime of the year as they have full central heating. All bed linen, towels and electricity/ fuel is included in the price.
Furnishings and fittings are of a very high quality and the cabins have a bright, comfortable welcoming atmosphere. The verandas and patios have furniture to sit out on and enjoy the peaceful setting whilst watching the wildlife and birds that congregate around Queen Victoria's curling pond.
The luxury cabins each have a double and twin bedded rooms with a combined living/dining and kitchen area. All the cabins have a fully fitted kitchen including microwave oven. There is a shower over the bath and the utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and hair dryer. There is also somewhere for you to stow your cases. The log cabins are within walking distance of the village of Strathpeffer, where there are shops and a Post Office.
For those wishing that little bit extra, we can even arrange picnic hampers on a daily basis taking the hassle out of preparing lunch in advance.
